Dr. Gangqiang Ding
Dr. Ding is the Director of National Institute for Nutrition and Health of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and also the Vice President of CNS. Meanwhile, he is also a doctoral supervisor and a chief physician. Dr. Ding has led or participated in the Chinese Sci-Tech Support Plan, the major National S&T project of Ministry of S&T and the Ministry of Health from the “Tenth Five-Year” to the “Thirteenth Five-Year”. Dr. Ding also hosted the Zhejiang Majory S&T project of “The relationship between the iodine level and thyroid related disease in Chinese publics” and “The influence of waste electronic products on environment and public health”. He has proposed the advice of supplying iodine scientifically and promoted the research of investigating the functional components in Chinese traditional medicine. He has been awarded for his outstanding work in public health and medicine, such as the Third Award of Zhejiang S&T Advance Award, the First Award of Zhejiang Medical, the hygiene achievements of innovation, and the National Excellent S&T Worker in China. He is also promoting the academic cooperation with U.S, Canada and Australia. Dr. Ding devotes himself in disseminating health information to the publics. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and has been the editor for 9 monographs.
